April 4th marked the 100th Anniversary of the Uniformed Firefighters Association for it was on this date in 1917 that Firefighter Albert Guinness, Ladder 140, unionized New York City Firefighters. In this past century the UFA has been in the forefront of the labor movement promoting, supporting, and securing the labor rights of firefighters in New York City.
