HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — Firefighters battled a blaze on the rooftop of a building on the grounds of a Hell's Kitchen church Tuesday afternoon, an FDNY spokesman told Patch.

Twelve FDNY units, with 60 firefighters, arrived on scene at Sts. Cyril and Methodius and St. Raphael's Church — located on West 41st Street between 10th and 11th avenues — around 12:45 Tuesday, an FDNY spokesman told Patch. The fire itself was not located on the main church building but rather on a rectory next to the church, the spokesman told Patch.

The fire was declared under control on hour after firefighters responded to the scene, according to FDNY officials.

No injuries were reported, an FDNY spokesman told Patch.
