1. Lobby Day
Lobby Day will take place this coming Tuesday June 10th. If you have not already signed up please do so ASAP by faxing back the registration form or you can do it on-line at www.ufanyc.org and clicking on the link at the top of the page "Lobby Day Update." Please do so by Friday June 6th. We need to plan for adequate busses and also would like to provide each member with a personalized information package. This is an important day and it is the obligation of every member to get involved. There are many agendas that are trying to be advanced in the final days of the legislature. We need to make sure that it is the UFA's agenda that is acted upon in Albany.
2. Political Action Volunteers Needed
If you are a registered democrat and can spare a few days or even a few hours, your help is needed. A great friend of the UFA is involved in a primary fight this year. UFA members are needed to collect signatures for his petitions to ensure that he is on the ballot. The operation is taking place in Manhattan. Please contact the UFA ASAP if you are available over the next three weeks to help out. Call 212-545-6978 to let us know your availability. Only registered Democrats can collect the signatures.
