Soho Inferno

NY Post

by CHRISTINA CARREGA

A woman out shopping yesterday returned home to find her SoHo apartment in flames. The three-alarm blaze erupted at 6:16 p.m. at 196 Elizabeth St., near Spring Street, in Acela Dejesu's sixth-floor apartment.

"I had no idea how it happened," Dejesu said.

Relatives said the grandma had opened her front door and was met with a wall of flame.

Eight people suffered minor injuries, including five firefighters.
