The Uniformed Firefighters Association delegates' assembly voted unanimously with one abstention to ratify the union's tentative contract with the city.
Members will soon receive ballots and the results will be finalized on Dec. 11, the UFA announced. Union President Steve Cassidy was confident that members would approve the deal.
The wage pact provides two 4-percent raises plus an additional 3.5-percent increase negotiated under a re-opener clause from a previous pact, allowing Firefighters at maximum salary to maintain pay parity with cops.
