Fire Lieutenant Lost In Blaze To Be Buried

NY 1

Family, friends and firefighters will say their final goodbyes to a fallen brother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning for Lieutenant Robert Ryan.

Ryan, 46, was battling a fire in a two-story home on Staten Island Sunday when part of the ceiling collapsed on him.

Officials say the fire was not suspicious and appears to have been sparked by faulty electrical wiring in the attic.

The funeral will be at Sacred Heart Church in Livingston.

The 17-year FDNY veteran leaves behind a wife, two children, and two stepchildren.
