FDNY Namesake Baseball Teams Resurrected To Play Using Original 1864 Rules

On Saturday, June 20th at 12 noon, at the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, 895 Shore Road, Pelham Bay Park, Bronx a "Baseball" Game will be played according to 1864 rules. The Mutual Base Ball Club of NY will take on the Knickerbocker Base Ball Club of NY. The original NY Mutuals were named after the Mutual Hook & Ladder 1 Company. While the original Knickerbockers were named for the Knickerbocker Engine 12 Company. After the "baseball" match team members will play a game of Rounders with children and fathers from the audience.
