Applicants must currently be enrolled in college, trade or vocational school. This scholarship is for dependent children of
active, retired or deceased Firefighters, Fire Marshals or Marine Wipers who are full-time students up to & including age 23 for
undergraduate education. Dependent children, spouses of LOD deceased UFA members, & dependent children of non-LOD deceased UFA
members are eligible to receive scholarships for undergraduate and/or post-graduate education, but must still fill out an
application & provide proof of enrollment. Applications are available when UFA announces annual filing periods which usually

- John Jay College Tuition Reimbursement Procedures
The FDNY has received funding that provides reimbursement payment for FDNY Firefighters and EMS uniformed personnel enrolled in undergraduate and graduate courses at John Jay College. Applicants must have completed course(s) with a C or better and provide a transcript denoting such grade(s) along with receipt of payment.
