Statement from Steve Cassidy, President Uniformed Firefighters Association

"Nearly 1,200 New York City Firefighters, including 343 that died on 9-11 made the ultimate sacrifice for the City of New York and their families received pension benefits.

This legislation if enacted will throw the widows and children of future firefighters killed in the line of duty under the bus. Being a New York City Firefighter is the most dangerous job in America, as New York remains the number one terrorist target."
