FDNY Members Aid Amputee & Severely Injured U.S. Soldiers
FDNY Bravest Boxing Team Members will present a check and meet with leaders of the Wounded Warrior Project to support American troops who have come home with serious injuries from the war on terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan. Event will take place 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12 at the Uniformed Firefighters Association, 204 East 23rd Street 4th Floor.
Editors Note: FDNY Boxers recent raised money through a boxing marathon, taking on all comers, including leading amateurs and golden gloves boxers to raise funds to support programs for soldiers who have lost limbs and been stricken with serious spinal cord injuries. In recent years the Wounded Warrior Project works jointly with NYC Firefighters to run year round sporting events to help these injured soldiers.
