Indian Head Road in Smithtown will be renamed in honor of Firefighter James J. Hurson of Engine 318 at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 9, 2022. The street renaming ceremony will honor the memory of Firefighter Hurson, who died as a result of WTC related illness on May 22, 2018. The ceremony will be held at the corner of Indian Head Road and Ellen Place, followed by a luncheon hosted by the Hurson family. All members and families are welcome.
