On Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12th, the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, located at West 48th Street and 12th Avenue, Manhattan, will honor members of the FDNY by hosting an “FDNY Appreciation Weekend”. Activities will be taking place on both days, including demonstrations, simulated rescues, and fire safety programs. The Blessing of the FDNY Marine Fleet will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 11th commencing with a ceremony on the Pier and concluding with a water display. Admission to the Intrepid is FREE to any FDNY employee, uniformed or civilian, with a FDNY photo ID. Family members will receive a 50% discount on admission. The Intrepid is open from 10am to 6pm each day.
