AWARDS

The current distribution for new awards is $300,000 (20 awards of $15,000 each.) Awards may be renewable – up to $60,000 total per award ($15,000 initial year plus up to 3 years renewable) -- depending on an award recipient’s enrollment status and provided the student continues to adhere to the terms of the scholarship and fulfills the yearly renewal obligations as communicated by or on behalf of Garden of Dreams (for example: maintaining a certain minimum GPA and completing the annual renewal form.)
For students attending a two-year college or vocational-technical school, awards are renewable up to one year or until an associate degree or certificate is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent) and completion of all annual renewal requirements.
For students attending a four-year college or university, awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor's degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent) and completion of all annual renewal requirements.
In the event that a student must defer their award due to military service, medical reasons, or another family-related event, their deferred renewal will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Awards are for undergraduate studies only.
Applications are now available for this year’s BC Matthew Ryan Memorial Scholarships, which are named to honor the fallen Chief who had 28 years of service with the FDNY and made the supreme sacrifice on September 11, 2001.
Two (2) one thousand-dollar scholarships are awarded annually and can be used for college/university, high school, trade school or private school. Applicants must meet both the following criteria:

This non-profit organization was formed to honor the memory of FDNY Lieutenant Michael R. Davidson, who made the ultimate sacrifice on March 23, 2018. Drawing inspiration from Michael's spirit of selflessness and his love for others, we look forward to giving back to the communities to which he served and belonged. Thus, our commitment to community will focus specifically on the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of first responder and military families and their children.

The Billy Moon Foundation is a 501(c) 3 charity. Our mission is to advocate, raise awareness, and to increase organ donation across the country. The heart of the foundation is to provide support through representation of the first responder communities, fundraising, and partnership with Organ Donor Organizations. We also strive to be a lifeline for our local communities and families in need.
