On November 21, 2014, legislation was enacted that extends the deadline for filing a written and sworn WTC Notice of Participation form with the Fire Pension Fund to September 11, 2015.

The FDNY Pension department will send a letter to all members, (active and retired) that were active on 9/11/2001, or that were hired in the first year after 09/11/2001.

The former agency must provide the Fire Pension Fund with a letter attesting the member has met the requirements for participation.

A department order will be sent out early next week with complete details.
