JON STEWART LEADS RALLY ON WASHINGTON/ UFA Lobby Day
Comedian Jon Stewart will join over one hundred 9/11 first responders on Sept. 16th as they walk the halls of congress yet again to lobby for continuation of the 9/11 health care & compensation programs they desperately need and deserve. Stewart will kick-off the day of lobbying by leading an outdoor rally of 9/11 responders and survivors before accompanying one of the many teams of first responders as they walk the halls to meet with members of Congress, to urge lawmakers to join in sponsoring legislation to reauthorize and fully fund the two Zadroga bill’s critical programs – the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program and the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. Transportation to Washington DC will be provided, leaving from Randall’s Island New York, NY 10035. Buses will be departing at 4am and returning by 7pm.
