Schedule of Events

• 10:30 – Firefighters arrive at Capitol – 90 State Street*. Lunch will be served. Speakers have been invited to address our members.
• 12:15 – Break off into small groups and proceed into Legislative Office Building (LOB) to lobby your individual legislators.

If you have not already done so, please look up the legislator for both your home address and firehouse address. This can be done HERE.

• 4:00 – Group Photo. Assemble on plaza of Capitol on the West side of the building.
• 4:30 – Buses depart

*90 State Street is located on State Street between S. Pearl St & Lodge St. Take the NYS Thruway (I-87) North to Exit 23. After the toll, follow to I-787 North. Take Exit 4 and follow the signs to Broadway by turning left at the 1st traffic light. Continue on Broadway and turn left on State Street. Continue up State Street to the 1st traffic light. 90 State will be the 2nd building on the left. Several parking garages are available in the area.

UFA Lobby Day – April 28th

The UFA will be having a Lobby Day in Albany on Tuesday, April 28th. As in years past, the UFA will provide transportation to and from Albany leaving from various locations. Delegates should compile a list of all members that need transportation along with their preferred departure location.

Below is the pick-up locations and times for Lobby Day. If any problems arise that day, please call the UFA at 212-545-6978 and ask to speak with Debbie Lynch.

BUS # 1 – Manhattan/Brooklyn
• 204 East 23rd Street (2nd and 3rd Avenues) – 7:00AM Pick Up

BUS # 2 – Queens
• 1. Cunningham Park
  (Parking Lot) – 7:00AM Pick Up

• 2. Eastbound Union Turnpike & 196th Place – 8:00AM Pick Up

BUS # 3 – Bronx
• 1. East Tremont & Dill Place – near Brewsky’s Bar – 7:00AM Pick Up
• 2. Walmart: 288 Larkin Drive, Monroe, NY 1090 – 8:00AM Pick Up

BUS # 4 – Staten Island
• The Staaten, 97 Forest Avenue – 7:00AM Pick Up

Members that are traveling on their own should meet in Albany at the corner of State Street between S. Pearl St & Lodge St. We will assemble in the park. You should plan on arriving at 10:30AM. The buses will be departing sometime mid-afternoon.

Class A Uniforms are required for all attendees.
