Alexandra Gillen-Hurley is currently a patient at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Her treatment will require regular blood and platelet transfusions. Alexandra and her family would deeply appreciate your donation. Donations not used by Alexandra will be released for use by other patients, many of whom are children. In addition there is a Bone Marrow Drive being held for Alexandra as she has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and is need of a bone marrow transplant. The drive is being held on Wednesday April 20th from 5pm-8pm at St. Anastasia’s Annex, 24404 Northern Blvd, Little Neck, NY 11363. It requires a simple cheek swab to test if you may be a match for her. IMPORTANT: YOU CANNOT EAT OR DRINK FOR 2 HOURS PRIOR TO HAVING YOUR CHEEK SWABBED. If you are unable to attend our Drive, there is a National Donate Life event being held at North Shore University Hospital on April 21st from 10:30am-1pm in the Rusk Auditorium.
