Based upon the overwhelming feedback from the Delegate body, the Executive Board of the UFA, in accordance with the UFA’s Constitution, has voted to cancel the September 23rd meeting of Delegates where they were to vote on the proposed CBA and postpone the vote until the PBA contract arbitration award has been issued.

Article XIV, Section 2(A)(vii) of the UFA Constitution states that the roll call vote by the Delegates on the proposed CBA shall take place at a meeting "to be held not less than 28 days after" the special meeting of Delegates where the written terms were discussed. The UFA Constitution contains no time limit on when the roll call vote meeting shall take place – it says only that it shall be no less than the 28 days.

Such cancellation and postponement will not jeopardize any of the terms of the MOA because such terms have been agreed to by the City and UFA subject to membership ratification that would still be pending.
