In honor of Assistant Chief of EMS Operations Alvin Suriel, the FDNY Hispanic Society is offering a unique opportunity for those interested to pursue a potential NYS EMT Certification. Selected applicants would receive a rigorous 2-month course work (July – August 2024) paired with FDNY Hispanic Society mentors who would assist those selected with career counseling and readiness. This program was conceived based on Chief Suriel’s desire to strengthen awareness in EMS careers.
