The FF. Michael H. Gebert Foundation was created in 2022 in memory of fallen FDNY Firefighter Michael H. Gebert who lost his courageous battle with cancer at the young age of 28. Michael had a heart of gold and in a wake of sadness, his family created this foundation to preserve his memory and raise money for rare cancer research, helping FDNY families in their fight with cancer and other FDNY related illnesses. Michael H. Gebert Memorial Foundation hopes to contribute to organizations such as the Fire Family Transport and FDNY Family Assistance Unit.
