Friends of Firefighters is participating in Generosity Brooklyn, a multi-charity 5K Run/Walk taking place on Sunday, April 29th, 2018, in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Bib pick up will be at 7:30 AM with a scheduled start time of 9:00 AM for the run. They will be running and walking in memory of WTC Marine Pilot and Firefighter Tommy Phelan, a longtime FoF supporter and beloved 9/11 rescuer who sadly passed away last month of cancer. Cost of registration is $25 with each participant committing to raising $200 for Friends of Firefighters.

After the race, all are welcome to gather at Tommy’s favorite watering hole, Farrell’s, 215 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215, for a post-race party. Bagels and light refreshments will be served to all runners. Custom Tommy Phelan t-shirts and Friends of Firefighters stadium cups will be sold at the door. Honor Tommy’s life and legacy while helping Friends of Firefighters raise vital funds to support the continuation of free counseling and wellness services for active and retired FDNY firefighters and their families.
