The NYS Honorary Fire Chiefs Association will be granting ten $2,500 scholarships to active members of the Department who will be enrolled in college level classes in the 2016 school year. To be eligible, please list your current college standing and number of credits earned, as well as the name of the school you are/will be attending and your major. Please include a three paragraph essay on your plans once you have completed your degree, with an emphasis on how attaining your degree will further your career and benefit the FDNY. Also please describe why we should consider you for this scholarship: i.e. your contributions to the Department and/or your community.
