On Veterans Day, Wednesday November 11th, the non-profit Veterans group Til Duty is Done, www.tdid.org, is hosting an all-day event at Mohegan Sun Casino. The organization was founded by West Point graduate and wounded/disabled combat veteran CPT Justin Nash. This event will culminate with a concert in the evening featuring Trace Adkins and The Dropkick Murphy’s; Tony Orlando will emcee the event. The FDNY Bagpipe Band, let by CPT Liam Flaherty, R2, will lead a procession playing the pipes and drums through the casinos and into the arena to start the concert. From now until May 16th ALL veterans will have the opportunity to purchase “pre-sale” tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Ticket prices are $29 – $49. The casino will be offering discounted rooms to veterans as well (price TBD, probably $150 range).
