Uniformed Firefighters Association to Kick Off 100-Year Anniversary with Wreath Laying Ceremony for Fallen Firefighters

NEW YORK CITY – This Tuesday, the Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) will kick off its centennial anniversary by laying a wreath to honor New York City’s firefighters who have died in the line of duty.

Over the last 100 years, more than 1,100 firefighters and fire officers have died while serving the City.

The UFA was officially incorporated on April 4, 1917.
