IAFF-ACS Fire Within 5K Race
Members are reminded that the first ever IAFF-ACS Fire Within 5K Race will be held during the IAFF Redmond/Barbera Conference on Wednesday, August 23, to bring firefighters and cancer fighters together in NYC to support the partnership between the American Cancer Society and the IAFF.
Open to IAFF members and the general public, the 5K will run along the Hudson River, starting and finishing at the USS Intrepid. You do not have to be registered for the Redmond/Barbera event to register for the race.
The 5K will start at 6:00am at Pier 84, right next to the USS Intrepid along the Hudson River. All are encouraged to join in the opportunity to run, walk, or cheer on the sidelines with your fellow union brothers and sisters as the IAFF & American Cancer Society ignite the FIRE WITHIN to end cancer.
