Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney will be holding a press conference this Monday, July 15th at 9:30 AM, at Ground Zero (Fulton & Dey Street, directly across from 9/11 Memorial & Museum) following Friday’s scheduled House vote on Never Forget the Heroes: James Zadroga, Ray Pfeifer, and Luis Alvarez Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act (H.R.1327/S.546). The Congresswoman will be joined by elected officials, survivors, and advocacy organizations.

The press conference aims to call on the Senate and Senator Mitch McConnell to pass this legislation as quickly as possible and to build momentum after the expected House passage of this critical bill.

We ask that all available UFA members turn out in support of the renewal authorization of the VCF. Please wear a company shirt or jacket identifying you as a firefighter.
