The Department has announced that the passing of retired Firefighter Robert E. Welsh of Engine 207 was caused by illness sustained during the rescue and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the attacks on the World Trade Center. Firefighter Welsh was appointed on October 28, 2001, and served the Department until his retirement on March 29, 2018. We extend our condolences to his family and friends and thank him for his service. 

Off duty members and their families are invited to attend the services in honor of retired Firefighter Robert E. Welsh.
Members should wear Class A Uniform.
