Beginning at 12:00am on Wednesday, September 11th, Brian Cross, son of the late Battalion Chief Dennis A. Cross, will be walking approximately 50 miles from his Long Island home to the 9/11 Memorial in NYC. During this walk, he will proudly carry the American flag as a means of honoring all of our country’s fallen heroes, those who lost their lives on 9/11, and the memory of his late father. Brian will be raising funds for two charities: the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation and the Fight for Firefighters Foundation. The Fight for Firefighters Foundation aims to help first responders, their families, or those in their communities. They are noted for building wheelchair ramps throughout New York. The New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of burn care, research, prevention, education, and the proper treatment of burns.
