On Sunday March 23, 2025, from 11:00am–12:00pm, a Plunge will take place in Honor of Firefighter John Hudson and EB patients at South Beach Boardwalk in Staten Island. A luncheon will follow at the South Fin Grill from 12:00pm-2:00pm. There is a minimum $50 donation to attend, which includes all food & soft drinks.

John Hudson is diagnosed with epidermolysis bullosa, leaving him with a body covered in open wounds.  He has advocated for a cure for this horrible condition since his youth, hoping that children in the future will never know the same pain and disability that has left him bedridden. John and his advocacy were a contributing factor to the first ever FDA approved treatment for EB.  This new development has given John hope that his efforts have been worthwhile and that a cure is still possible.  Together, friends in New York are doing all we can to make waves for John Hudson, and for every child living with EB.
