2024 UFA Scholarship Fund Now Accepting Applications

- Eligibility:
- Dependent children of active, retired, or deceased Firefighters, Fire Marshals & Marine Wipers, Pilots and Engineers who are full-time students up to age 23.
- Active UFA members and their spouses attaining an undergraduate education.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college, trade or vocational school full-time as of the 2024 Fall Semester.
- High School and Graduate students are not eligible for awards.
- Application Form – Be sure to use the appropriate application form!
- All applicants, including LOD & Non-LOD must submit an application form & proof of enrollment.

- Proof of Enrollment (for the 2024 Fall Semester, Full-Time (12 credits minimum) to be Submitted with Application
- Official letter from the school confirming enrollment and credit load (not an acceptance letter)
- OR official schedule showing number of credits must be submitted with application.
- Applicants missing this will be disqualified from consideration.
- Awards:
- The annual number and amount of scholarships are dependent upon the amount of available funds. If applications exceed the number available, awards will be selected by lottery.
- Students may receive a maximum of four (4) UFA Scholarship Fund Awards.
- UFA Scholarship Fund awards are available once per year, not per semester.
- Award checks will be mailed to the address provided on the application.
- Application Submission:
- Applications must be submitted with the correct application form & proof of enrollment.
- Mail via US Postal Service Return Receipt to avoid unnecessary delay and to ensure receipt. Scholarship staff CANNOT check to see if your application was received without this.
- Applications postmarked after the October 1, 2024 deadline will be automatically ineligible.
- Faxed applications will not be accepted.
