The Department will be hosting boroughwide Plaque Dedication Ceremonies to honor and remember active members who have died, along with members we have lost due to World Trade Center related illnesses throughout 2022 and 2023.  Members and their families are invited to attend the Plaque Dedication Ceremonies and to gather in remembrance of those we have lost while honoring their sacrifice and celebrating their lives.

Plaque Dedication Ceremonies for members of Brooklyn and Staten Island will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Fire Training Academy (Building 12) on Randall’s Island. The Brooklyn Plaque Dedication Ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM. The Staten Island Plaque Dedication Ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM. Attending members should wear dress uniform.
