Apply now for The New York State Honorary Fire Chiefs Association Inc., and the New York State Professional Firefighters Association Inc., 2026 Ted Green Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship competition is open to high school seniors and recent high school graduates who have not completed more than one year of college by September of 2025. Applicants must be a child of an active uniformed union member of the New York State Professional Firefighters Association. Applicants must also have taken the SAT or ACT no later than January 2026. Applicants must submit an essay of approximately 400-500 words explaining why they should be selected as the recipient of this award. Scholarship winners will be announced in June of 2026 and will be granted upon the recipient’s registration as a full-time student at an accredited undergraduate college or any institution furthering education beyond high school.
