Since last year’s Medal Day ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department will honor the 2020 medal recipients on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. In order to accommodate the precautions for the ongoing pandemic, attendance will be limited and will be based on gathering restrictions in place for the location of the ceremony. Medal recipients will be notified of availability of attendance. To ensure that families, friends and fellow members can view the ceremony, the FDNY will livestream the service on their website and on Department social media.
