The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) and FDNY will host a national memorial service on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the College of Staten Island located at 2800 Victory Blvd honoring 176 FDNY firefighters who tragically passed away due to illnesses related to their service in the rescue and recovery effort at the World Trade Center after 9/11/2001. This solemn occasion and the decorum and atmosphere that surrounds it, lends itself to honoring these members who died in the line of duty. The ceremony commences at 3:00pm in the Sports and Recreation Center (Building 1R). Parking will be controlled and regulated by Campus Public Safety and Event Staff. All active members are asked to wear Class A uniform. Class A uniform or jacket and tie for retired members. All others, please dress for this formal occasion. All members attending the memorial ceremony are invited to arrive early, between 12:00pm-12:30pm to participate in the Sea Of Blue line up. The families have been invited to start arriving at 1:00pm (ceremony begins at 3:00pm).
