The 34.3 Foundation invites all UFA members, families, and friends to join us in Long Beach on Sunday, September 13 for the 2nd Annual 3.43 For The 343 Community Memorial Run. Registration opens at 7:00 AM and race starts at 8:30 AM.

Just two days earlier, on September 11th, members of the 34.3 Foundation including active UFA members, will once again honor the 343 members of the FDNY lost on 9/11 by running 34.3 miles from Long Beach to Ground Zero.

The 3.43 For The 343 Race was created to bring firefighters, families, friends, and supporters together on the Long Beach Boardwalk to remember the 343, honor their sacrifice, and turn that remembrance into action for the FDNY families who need us today.

Last year, that mission became especially personal. Following the sudden passing of Firefighter Joe Herman, the 34.3 community rallied around Joe’s family. Through the overwhelming support of those who registered, ran, donated, and stood beside us at our inaugural 3.43 For The 343, the Foundation was able to raise and ultimately donate $50,000 to a trust established for Joe’s young daughter, Lacy.

The Foundation has provided direct financial assistance to FDNY firehouses, active members, and families facing tragedy, loss, and extraordinary hardship. We encourage all UFA members to register, run, walk, bring your families, and stand alongside us in Long Beach.
