The Department will be hosting a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM as they remember 39 members of the FDNY that have passed over the last year due to illnesses from their rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center 24 years ago. The ceremony will honor these members and keep their memory alive as they are added to the WTC Memorial Wall. The ceremony can be viewed online at www.NYC.gov/FDNY. We thank these members for their bravery and selflessness, and vow to never forget their names and sacrifices.
